Chinese Goods - 2009-08-04

Call me prejudiced, but I WON’T buy anything edible or otherwise consumable if it’s grown, packaged or made in China. And I HESITATE to buy Chinese-made products of any kind. Chinese producers have proven themselves, to me at least, to be so dangerous as to be totally untrustworthy.

Sure it’s a generalization. And yes, this attitude hurts honest Chinese producers. But I have a right and a duty to protect myself. When I tally it all up……… tainted milk that killed and sickened thousands of China’s own children, lead paint in toys and knickknacks, drywall made with materials that corrode wiring and cause breathing problems – I don’t want this stuff in my body or home.

I would not eat fruit grown in China today because I don’t know what it was sprayed with or fertilized with. Reading the label is useless, since many producers have lied about the contents. In 2007, Chinese producers put MELAMINE in pet food to fake protein content. Thousands of North American pets were sickened and died. China also produces and exports most of the world’s FAKE mail order medicine. Like Viagra tablets so real-looking that they could fool most people… but were made of GYPSUM – a building material that is definitely not meant to be ingested.

You know, that brings up a bigger point. I didn’t believe in supporting the Apartheid regime in South Africa years ago, and I don’t believe in supporting the oppressive regime in China that subjugates Tibetans, Uighurs (WEE-gurs) and Falun Gong.

In my view, China is not our friend and is not to be trusted. As they get more and more economically powerful, I believe they’ll only get worse and worse. If the West continues to support this dangerous and corrupt country by buying their cheap and hazardous goods, we will find our own economies at risk. That’s not a formula for long-term success. So now… I have two good reasons for not buying Chinese products.
