Sarah Palin - 2009-03-16

When John McCain announced that Sarah Palin would be his Vice Presidential choice, this relatively unknown Governor of Alaska, became an instant figure on the political scene, and in the media.

She had an interesting story to tell. Not only is she a woman, a photogenic one at that ---- she is a staunch anti-abortion conservative, has 5 children, and has folksy, populist mannerisms.

Whether you thought she was an intelligent woman, or the airhead that others suggested, one has to admit she makes good television and she will look great on the cover of Vogue and Vanity Fair.

So is she really getting ready for a run at the White House in 2012 or thereafter? We very much doubt it. So what is all the continuing hype about?

Well she recently announced the advent of her own Political Action Committee to raise money for her future political ambitions.

In our opinion, Sarah Palin has as much chance of becoming her party’s nominee for President as Dan Qayle does. But she is not a complete fool. She knows that her 15 minutes of fame, if nourished and extended can pay handsome dividends for her and her family.

So you will see Sarah Palin again….. and again….. and again…… as long as they keep paying her those generous stipends for magazine covers, speaking engagements and rodeo openings.

Hey if Joe the Plumber can get a book deal, then Sarah should be able to get one as well and likely a movie of the week as well.
